Istvan Barakonyi

We are featuring a selection of unusual Hungarian baking and serving pieces! The Danubia Collection is a rich assortment of gloriously colored Bohemian patterns, hand made and individually signed by master potter, Istvan Barakonyi. This oven to table group is microwave and dishwasher safe.

Each piece is handled twenty two times during its creation. The pottery itself is surprisingly light to handle and shimmers with jewel-like colors. The intricate textural designs make these pieces lovely enough for display or hanging on a wall. The artist has thoughtfully provided the means to do so on many of the bakers.

The newest items featured in the just released spring collection are chicken roaster dishes, collanders, a large fruit bowl, and deep dish covered baking dishes. Add these to the existing platters, paella and lasagna dishes, plates, mugs, multi sized bakers, pitchers, cheese and butter dishes, and the choices are both tempting and appealing.
